We Are Not Alone
This was taken at my Surprise 50th Birthday Party at the Church.
Big Joe & June made the trip from Rome, GA. I was so grateful for their effort. It's an 8 hour drive. Now, we're grateful to be making the effort to be with the Tarpley's in GA as much as possible as we grieve Happy Joe's death this past Tuesday. In grief, I often turn to the Creeds. "Credo" means I believe. I remember today, that I believe...
We are not alone, we live in God's world.
We believe in God:
who has created and is creating,
who has come in Jesus,
the Word in the flesh,
to reconcile and make new,
who works in us and in others by the Spirit.
We trust in God.
We are called to be the Church:
to celebrate God's presence,
to love and serve others,
to seek justice and resist evil,
to proclaim Jesus, crucified and risen,
our judge and our hope.
In life, in death, on life beyond death,
God is with us.
We are not alone.
Thanks be to God.
